We are a residence with four places that accommodates children and adolescents aged 12-17 with autism and intellectual disabilities. The target group often exhibits challenging and disruptive behavior. The residence has one-to-one staffing, which means that the youth have access to their own staff during the day. The residence operates based on a low-arousal approach and clarifying pedagogy.

Job Description and Qualifications

We are now looking for substitute staff who can provide support as needed. To thrive with us, you need to have a genuine interest in people, be creative, curious, and have the ability to take responsibility. You will work with an engaged team with a lot of humor!

Your task is to support, activate, and guide children and adolescents in their daily lives. You will be responsible, together with your colleagues, for planning, implementing, and documenting interventions.

You should contribute to creating a meaningful and safe stay where the activities are shaped according to the individual's specific strengths, interests, and needs. Care work is a significant part of the job.

You need to have experience working with individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities. You should feel comfortable working with challenging and disruptive behavior.

Great importance is placed on personal suitability. You will support youth with disabilities who show high sensitivity and therefore place high demands on your attentiveness to their needs for well-being. You should thus have a low-arousal approach and understand the importance of clarifying pedagogy.

The work involves a great deal of freedom of action, so it is required that you have the ability to take your own initiatives, take responsibility, and enjoy collaborating with others.

As a substitute support assistant, you need to have a vocational qualification from the health and care program, the child and leisure program, or another equivalent education that the employer deems equivalent.

The work involves medication delegation from a nurse.

The working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, and nights, with both awake night shifts and sleeping on-call, so it is a requirement that you can work irregular hours.

Collective agreements are in place.
